We’ll delve into the world of Latvian Mitten construction and design in this workshop. These wonderful little gems wear like iron and get smoother and better with age.

Students will receive a mitten kit with a pattern and Tines Yarn - direct from Lativa! You’ll learn about the history and techniques, and we’ll work through the techniques used to create these wonderful treasures on a child’s mitten, including how to make fringe and braids.

Suitable for the advanced two-color knitter. Students should be very comfortable using double point needles, working with a small gauge (9 st/inch) and two-color knitting techniques.

Materials: Knitters need to bring a set of double point steel or metal needles (6” or 8”) in size #0, #1 or #2.
